Welcome to my page
I’m Matthew, and I’ve been involved in scouting for the last 6 years. Recently I have been selected to attend the World Scout Jamboree 2027 in Poland — a once-in-a-lifetime Scouting event bringing together young people from all over the world.
I'm one of the 36 scouts selected to represent Staffordshire and the only scout selected for the Cannock Chase District !! I'm really looking forward to it 😄
Over the next couple of years, I’ll be fundraising to help cover the costs of travel, training, and equipment, and I’ll be sharing updates on my progress and activities here.
If you’d like to support my journey, please follow my

Thank you for being part of my journey ⚜️🌍

WSJ 2027
The World Scout Jamboree is an international gathering that brings together Scouts and Guides from across the globe to take part in adventure, cultural exchange, and personal development.
It is held every four years and offers young people the chance to build friendships, learn new skills, and experience Scouting on a truly global scale.
More information can be found on official WSJ 2027 page
UK Contingent
I'll be representing Staffordshire along with 35 other scouts as part of Unit 60. Looking after the individual units are the UK contingent who help scouts on their international journey.
You can find more information here ... UK Contingent on Facebook
Support
The cost of the jamboree is £3500 and scouts are expected to organise / participate in fundraising activities to raise this money themselves. Whilst I'll be working hard to achieve this and have a number of activities already planned (keep an eye on the Facebook page) I'd really appreciate any donations or items for raffle prizes etc that local companies may be able to provide.
If you are a local business and would be able to help a young scout from Cannock achieve this once in a lifetime opportunity then please get in touch using the email below, thank you.
